What is Stainless Steel 304 Seamless Pipe?
Stainless steel 304 seamless pipe is produced from a solid TP304 billet that is heated, pierced into a hollow raw pipe, then cold drawn or cold rolled to achieve the required outside diameter and wall thickness. The pipe is subsequently solution annealed, pickled, straightened, inspected, and cut to length. Grade 304 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, typically containing 18–20% chromium and 8–11% nickel, which provides a useful combination of general corrosion resistance, strength, toughness, formability, and weldability. How is 304 Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Manufactured?
